Joan serves as the Coordinator of Social Ministry at St. Paul of the Cross. In her role she is responsible for overseeing, directing, and coordinating the parish’s service to those in need, especially the elderly and homebound, those in nursing facilities and hospitals, individuals in financial distress or corporeal need. She also serves as a liaison between the Pastor and the various parish organizations whose mission it is to address related concerns.
Joan has earned a degree in the Education of Exceptional Children from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and most recently earned a Masters Degree in Religious Education from Duquesne University. She is married and has a daughter and two sons. She enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren who are a great source of joy and an incredible blessing in her life.
Joan most recently served as a Coordinator of Religious Education in the Diocese for many years, and has vast and varied experience in many dimensions of parish ministry. She hopes to use those experiences and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit to bless the people of St. Paul of the Cross with service and servant leadership.
Joan will be in her office Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:45am-3:15pm and by appointment.
